The terms of the work

Scope of the work

1. 01Purchased word counts and speaking times are maximum available lengths, not targets. We use the space the message needs and never pad a piece to reach it.
2. 02Every length receives the same standard of writing and editorial care. Higher tiers purchase additional capacity, not better writing.
3. 03Turnaround begins at Complete Intake — the point at which you've submitted everything required and enough usable information for us to begin.
4. 04Three revision rounds are included. Each round is one consolidated set of reasonable requests within the original brief, providing for up to 30 minutes of revision work.
5. 05Revision requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of the most recently delivered draft.
6. 06Requests that materially change the purpose, recipient, circumstances, or overall direction established in your intake fall outside the included revisions.
7. 07We don't invent personal facts, memories, events, relationship history, promises, or feelings. Everything in the finished piece comes from you.

Commercial terms

   Payment

   Commissions are paid in full at checkout, which is operated by Shopify. Prices are in US dollars. 24-hour Rush Delivery, where chosen, adds 15% to the price of the service.

2. 09

   Cancellation and refunds

   Cancel before writing has begun and the commission is refunded in full. Once writing has begun, the fee is not refundable, because the work is personalized to you and cannot be resold. Email us and we'll tell you honestly where your piece stands.

3. 10

   Delivery

   Your first complete draft and every revision arrive by email, as text. There is no physical product and nothing is shipped.

4. 11

   Ownership

   The finished piece is yours. Use it, print it, speak it, send it, adapt it. We claim no ongoing rights over it and we never publish or reproduce it.

5. 12

   Your material

   You confirm that what you submit is yours to share and that it is accurate. We write from what you give us and we don't verify it independently.

6. 13

   Limits

   Kindred is responsible for delivering the writing described here, to the standard shown in our readings. We're not liable for how a piece is received, or for outcomes that follow from sending it.
